If one has already recieved their Green Card and been working with the same employer who sponsered their Green card, for 6 months, can they then leave the employer and take a break for another 6 months?

I just got back to the post to update it. Even I found through another source that https://www.usvisa-mexico.com/ is the new website for booking visa appointments at mexico consulates!
What makes me wonder though is the fact that tijuana us consulate website and nvars website still point to the old website!?

Case Summary:
* Employer A = Previous Employer with whom I have my I-140 approved
* Employer B = Current Employer. I do not have a PERM or I-140 approved with this employer. I used my I-140 with Emp.A to get a 3 year extension when I transferred from Emp.A to Emp.B [So now, due to this extension, I have my H1-B approved upto Aug'08 instead of June 2006, which was the end of my H1-B six years]
* Employer C = Future Employer. I am planning to move from Emp.B and join this Employer now.
Question:
Can I use my I-140 from Emp.A to get multiple 3 year extensions with Emp.C when I change my job from Emp.B to Emp.C, or after joining Emp.C ?

Well they could hurry up and approve my eb1-c that's been pending for 8 months despite them saying 4 is their target! I can't see how they can say not enough applications when they are way off their targets for poor souls like me. I've put in an SR so we'll see what happens

My wife is on a contract jod to another city and now I get this FP notice which is scheduled in the city I reside. is it possible to reschedule it to another location. On the Notice itself there is an option to reschedule is to another time but not to another location

Hi,
We will be travelling to India and are looking to book Visa appointment. In Mumbai only first week of december is available. As we have to mail the documents, first week of december is not an option for us.
Has the Mumbai consulate opened the dates for December 2nd week and further or has the appointments been booked?

Hello sdouglas,
That is a problem with Swift and not with your PC configuration. I'm not sure why it would freeze or lockup when importing files. My best advice would be for you to uninstall Swift 3D and re-install it again. The problem should usually be solved. If the problem appears, it could be an error external to that of Swift.
Try re-installing your graphics card drivers if re-installing Swift does not solve the problem. If all else fails, try asking Electric Rain for help. It could be a bug =)

I congratulate everybody for getting the opportunity to file 485.I am truely happy for u guys.
I am one of the very few people who can not apply for 485 as I have just changed my company and labour yet has to be filed.
I just wanted to to know Is it still possible that they will bring some kind of amendment(From CIR bill) which wouldn't allow me to extend my H1 Visa after 6 years?.I am so scared when I read on numberusa that some amendments are coming back to vote.Are we really in trouble?.
I just need some lodgical reasons that it won't happen.
I know everybody is busy but don't forget about people like us.
No such proposal will be coming for another next two years for minimum. In the meantime, file your labor and and while you wait for approval, prepare your exp letters so that u r ready to file on day one after your labor is approved. bol

My current H1-B expires on 01/4/2011. I am planning to switch to EAD in November. What is the procedure to switch to EAD from H1-B. Is there any form that needs to be filled. Please advice. My company admin and HR have no idea and are asking me to find out for myself.

My labor was filed with job title from the employer as IT Lead (O*Net Code - 11-3021.00, O*Net title - Computer and Information Systems Managers). I am having an opportunity to convert to full-time on EAD (I-140 approved, EAD received 18months back). The new job title is Software Engineer(possible O*Net codes - 15-1032.00/15-1021.00/15-1031.00, possible O*Net title - Computer Software Engineer/Computer Programmer). Is it possible to file AC21 in this scenario. The salary and the job descriptions for both the Labor filing and the new opportunity are similar. I am worried if the title might cause a problem. I have to make a decision very soon. Please help.
